The end of week 4 brings sneakers and trophies and more!
Happy Friday fellow shippers! As we close out week 4 and we've got 20 days to go. We're seeing over 1,000 new apps being built already, with many of you inspiring us in public!
Ship-a-ton Launch Day on Product Hunt
We've got even more amazing prize opportunities for you! On September 24th, every Ship-a-ton project that launches on Product Hunt will be in the running for a one-of-a-kind, custom pair of sneakers that will be hand-crafted for you by the good folks over at B Street Shoes. Check out a sneak peak at their amazing design:

The Ship-a-ton is all about shipping, but what comes next is just as important. Gabe Perez over at Product Hunt wrote up a great guide over on our blog to help you use Product Hunt to successfully launch your app to the public after you've finished shipping. You can find all of the details about how to be eligible to win the sneakers on the blog as well.
The Shippies
We've opened up applications for The Shippies, our awards for outstanding achievements in subscription apps. If you've built an awesome subscription app, consider applying for some recognition from your favorite cats. This is a separate competition than the Ship-a-ton, but 1st place winners in the Ship-a-ton will receive a Shippy as well!
And of course we've got a one-of-a-kind trophy for the Shippies! Check out the deisgn of our 10in gold(-like) award created by the folks that made the Emmy's, Golden Globes, MTV Movie Awards, & More!

It's Glowtime: Apple's iPhone event scheduled September 9th
Apple officially scheduled their iPhone event for September 9th. Historically, this should mean that they'll open up the App Store to iOS 18 apps that same week. If that's the case, iOS 18 only apps will be eligible for the Ship-a-ton!
Keep building in public!
We're still blown away by the creativity and passion you're all bringing to the #BuildInPublic community across the internet. Every morning I've been checking the hashtag across social media just to kick start my day with a little inspiration boost.
If you want to join the fun, it’s easy! Just share your progress with the world and use the hashtag #BuildInPublic (and throw in #ShipATon too for good measure).
Have a great weekend, everyone!
