I build in public but use Mastodon as social media

I got a message saying that anyone who wants to take part in the BuildInPublic Challenge should contact you on Twitter:
"...And if you're competing for the #BuildInPublic, be sure to let us know under this Tweet so we can add you to the list of builders..."

I don't use Twitter, I use Mastodon. Can I therefore not take part in this category?

    Mastodon is fine: As long as you can share links to your posts (and those posts aren't gated, so we can access them), you can use whatever platform you'd like

    We're just making a Twitter list for those on Twitter competing for the #BuildInPublic award that would like us to highlight them there. But you can definitely still post with #BuildInPublic on Mastodon (or any public social media) and be eligible!
